Be My Co-Therapist™

At Psychology and Play Therapy Australia, we believe that children develop in the context of their attachment relationships, and that the most effective change occurs for children when their important adults are involved in the change process.

So our model of care actively engages parents/caregivers and education staff as our co-therapist – Be My Co-TherapistTM.

Our goal is to resource YOU with information and support to enable YOU to be the parent/caregiver you want to be for your child.

We know that parenting your child's unique therapeutic needs can be as much challenging and exhausting as it is rewarding.

We'll support you to deeply understand your child's therapeutic needs, make sense of their therapy goals, and apply specific therapeutic approaches at home that are consistent with your child's unique needs.

You'll also notice that our Facebook page emphasises the important role of play in children's development.

That's because we know that one of the main ways children learn, develop, and make sense of themselves and their experiences is during their process of play.

Curiosity, connection and playfulness - at the heart of our approaches to therapy and parenting/caregiving!
